Friday Evening, July 10
Kick Off Summer with Festival Fridays: Santa Rios (Santana Tribute)
When: Friday, July 10 | Gates open at 6:00 PM, Music starts at 7:00 PM
Start your weekend on the right note at the premier summer concert series kickoff. Hailing from central Colorado, Santa Rios is an electrifying 9-piece Latin fusion tribute act bringing five decades of Carlos Santana’s biggest hits to life.
Pro-Tip for Attending: Chairs on the plaza are limited! Make sure to bring your own lawn chairs or a big blanket to claim a great spot on the lawn. There will be multiple local food trucks and a full bar setup on-site. Just remember to leave the backpacks, outside food, and pets at home.
Saturday Morning & Afternoon, July 11
1. Grab Fresh Morning Eats at the Pueblo Farmers Market
Set your alarm early and head over to historic Mineral Palace Park. The morning farmers market is the best place to source local southern Colorado produce, fresh pastries, homemade goods, and coffee while soaking in the great community energy right by the water.
2. Check Out Classics at the Annual Rumble at Rosemount Auto Show
Cost: Free for the Car Show; Half-Price Museum Admission ($4 Adults, $3 Seniors, $2 Kids)
Once your market bags are full, take a quick 5-minute drive over to the North Side for a fantastic local tradition. The gorgeous grounds of the Rosemount Mansion will be lined with local hot rods, custom builds, and classic cars for the Annual Rumble at Rosemount.
The car show itself is completely free to browse. While you are there, take advantage of their special half-price mansion tours to step inside the historic 37-room castle and experience an amazing piece of Pueblo history without breaking the bank.
Saturday Night or Sunday Matinee
Experience a Local Tradition: The Wizard of Oz Live
When: Friday & Saturday at 7:00 PM | Sunday Matinee at 2:00 PM
If you want a great way to beat the July heat, head indoors and celebrate the massive 66th Annual Pueblo Summer Musical. This year, the local theater community is bringing The Wizard of Oz to life on the grand stage at Memorial Hall. Featuring incredible local talent, stunning set designs, and timeless music, it’s a perfect family event or weekend date night.
If downtown crowds aren’t your speed, look out west! Hit the water early at Lake Pueblo State Park’s North Marina for paddleboarding, kayaking, or a shaded picnic. Alternatively, reserve a morning tee time out at Desert Hawk Golf Course to get 18 holes in before the high mid-afternoon temperatures roll in.
